Understanding Your Fertility
Fertility can be influenced by several factors, including age, ovarian reserve, ovulation, reproductive health, medical conditions and male-factor concerns.
A detailed evaluation can help identify what may be affecting conception and guide your next steps.
- Infertility evaluation
- Female fertility assessment
- Male fertility evaluation
- AMH and ovarian reserve assessment
- Follicular monitoring
- Reproductive health evaluation
- Assessment based on your individual medical history
- Ovulation assessment
Pre-conception counselling
Planning a pregnancy begins before conception. Counselling helps you understand your current health and identify what may matter before you try to conceive.
We discuss your medical history, reproductive goals, lifestyle and any existing health concerns, so you can prepare for pregnancy.
- General health before pregnancy
- Reproductive health
- Menstrual and ovulation patterns
- Existing medical conditions
- Lifestyle and nutrition
- Medications and supplements
- Pregnancy planning
Assessment and treatment
The right approach is decided individually, after clinical evaluation.
1. Fertility assessment and ovarian reserve
Depending on your circumstances, evaluation may include AMH testing, ovarian reserve assessment, ultrasound evaluation and ovulation monitoring. Understanding ovarian reserve is especially useful when discussing fertility planning and treatment options.
2. Follicular monitoring and ovulation management
Follicular monitoring tracks the development of ovarian follicles through the menstrual cycle. It helps assess follicular growth and ovulation, and may be used when planning certain treatments. Where appropriate, care may include ovulation induction under medical supervision.
3. IUI (intrauterine insemination)
Prepared sperm is placed directly into the uterus around the time of ovulation. Whether IUI is suitable depends on fertility history, age, ovulation, sperm parameters and other clinical factors. We counsel you on the process, suitability and what to expect.
4. IVF and ICSI guidance
For patients considering advanced treatment, we explain In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI): how they work, when they may be considered, the stages involved, the investigations that may be needed, what can influence planning, and the questions to ask before you proceed.
5. Fertility preservation and egg freezing
Egg freezing involves collecting and cryopreserving eggs for possible future use. Suitability and expected outcomes depend on individual factors, including age and ovarian reserve. A consultation can show whether it is relevant for you.
6. Recurrent pregnancy loss and implantation concerns
Repeated pregnancy loss or difficulty with implantation can be emotionally hard. We offer evaluation and counselling, with investigations planned around your history and clinical needs.
7. Donor and assisted reproductive guidance
If you are considering donor-assisted or other assisted options, we provide medical counselling to help you understand the pathways and considerations.
